FollowAI Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
1. Who we are
This policy explains what personal data the FollowAI mobile app collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to the FollowAI apps for iOS and Android and to the servers behind them (the "Service").
The Service is run by 11App ("we", "us"). We are the controller of your personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can reach us at support@11app.dev.
We do not sell your personal data, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
2. Data we collect
We collect only what the app needs to work. We do not collect your location, contacts, messages, microphone audio or browsing history.
| Data | Examples | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Account details | Email address, password (stored hashed), account ID | You, when you register |
| Sign-in details | Name and email from Apple or Google, a sign-in identifier | Apple or Google, if you sign in with them. With Apple you can hide your email. |
| Your follows | The artists, bands, teams, leagues, tournaments, events and people you follow, and your notification settings for each | You, in the app |
| Search requests | The names you type when you search | You, in the app |
| Photos | A photo you choose or take for a follow | You, only if you add one |
| Stars and purchases | Star balance, what you spent stars on, star packs and plans you bought, and whether a plan is active | You, and the Apple App Store or Google Play (through RevenueCat) |
| Device data | Push notification token, device model, operating system and app version | Your device |
| Crash reports | Where the app crashed, device and app version, and a crash log | Your device, when the app crashes |
We never receive your card or bank details. Payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
Camera and photos. The app asks for camera or photo access only when you choose to add a photo to a follow. It reads only the photo you pick.
Notifications. The app asks before sending push notifications. You can turn them off, or change how often they come, in the app or in your device settings.
3. How we use your data
| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6) |
|---|---|---|
| Create and secure your account, sign you in | Account and sign-in details | Performing our contract with you |
| Find what you search for, and find new updates about what you follow | Search requests, your follows | Performing our contract with you |
| Show your follows, timelines and photos on your devices | Follows, photos | Performing our contract with you |
| Send notifications you asked for | Follows, notification settings, push token | Performing our contract with you |
| Keep your star balance, deliver what you buy, prevent double charges | Stars and purchase data | Performing our contract; legal obligations (tax and accounting records) |
| Fix crashes and keep the app stable | Crash reports, device data | Our legitimate interest in a working app |
| Prevent abuse and fraud, enforce our Terms | Account, usage and purchase data | Our legitimate interest in protecting the Service and its users |
| Answer your messages | Whatever you send us | Performing our contract; our legitimate interest |
Shared follows. When several people follow the same artist, team or other subject, we check for updates once and share the result. Other users can see what is followed and roughly how popular it is (for example in Discover), but never who follows it. Your photos, your settings and your account are never shown to other users.
AI. Searches and update checks use an AI model with web search. We send it the name of what you search for or follow, never your email, name or account details. We do not use your data to train AI models, and our providers may not either.
We do not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that run parts of the Service for us, under contracts that limit them to our instructions (data processing agreements), and with authorities when the law requires it.
| Provider | What they do | Data they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, sign-in, file storage and server functions | All data in section 2 except crash reports |
| Google Firebase (Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics) | Delivering push notifications; crash reports | Push token, device data, crash reports |
| RevenueCat | Managing purchases and subscriptions | Account ID, purchase and subscription data |
| Apple, Google | App stores, payments, and "Sign in with Apple / Google" | Purchase data; sign-in details, if you use them |
| Perplexity and other AI search providers | Searching the web for what you search for and follow | The names of what you search for or follow only |
We may also disclose data if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to a successor if the Service is sold or merged. In that case this policy keeps applying to your data.
5. How long we keep it
| Data | Kept until |
|---|---|
| Account, follows, settings, photos | You delete them or your account |
| Star balance and history | Your account is deleted; purchase records we must keep for tax purposes are kept for up to 10 years |
| Search requests | Up to 30 days, so repeated searches can be answered from the cache |
| Crash reports | Up to 90 days |
| Push token | You sign out, delete the app or your account, or the token expires |
Deleting your account. Go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This deletes your account, follows, settings and photos straight away. It does not cancel a store subscription: cancel that in your Apple or Google account settings. If you no longer have the app, email support@11app.dev from the address on your account, or use our account deletion page.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and UK GDPR), you can:
- get a copy of your data (access and portability)
- correct data that is wrong
- delete your data
- limit or object to how we use it, including where we rely on legitimate interests
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it (for example notifications)
- complain to a data protection authority. In the EU, that is the authority in your country or in ours.
To use any of these rights, email support@11app.dev. We answer within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity.
California residents. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. You have the right to know, delete and correct your personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for using these rights.
7. Children
FollowAI is only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we find out that someone under 18 has given us personal data, we will delete it. If you think this has happened, email support@11app.dev.
8. Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) and is stored encrypted at rest. Access is limited to people who need it to run the Service. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
9. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the EU/EEA or UK, we rely on an adequacy decision (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
